Federal Participation Act and Entitlements to Subsidies for Employers 

The Federal Participation Act (BTHG) supports employers
Employers who hire people with a degree of disability are entitled to financial support under the Federal Participation Act under certain conditions. People with an autism diagnosis can also apply for a degree of disability. 
The financial support, such as the integration grant, supports the participation of people with a degree of disability in the labour market and reduces the costs of hiring and employing employers. There is a so-called budget for work for this purpose.

Overview of the Budget for Work

* Purpose: The Budget for Labour serves to finance the necessary services for the integration and support of people with a degree of disability in the labour market.

* Funding: Costs for accompaniment, counselling and individual measures to promote the participation of people with degrees of disability in working life are covered.

* Entitlement: Employers can apply for the funds for necessary measures for their employees with a degree of disability. 




What is the budget for work?
This includes a wage cost subsidy and financing for guidance and support at the workplace. Employers, whether public or private, who hire a person with a degree of disability with the Budget for Work receive up to 75% of the employee's gross wage. The sponsor (usually the Federal Employment Agency) also finances, for example, possible work assistance or a job coach. Some federal states have increased the wage cost subsidy above the percentage set by the federal legislator.

Simply explained:
Employers who hire people with autism diagnosis and degree of disability receive a lot of support. 

Examples of support include:
* Support with wage costs: The support can be up to 75 percent of the wage costs.

* This means that a company only has to pay a small part of the wage costs for an autistic person with a degree of disability.


* Guidance and accompaniment at the workplace are paid.

* This means that if a person with a disability needs special guidance or support at work, the Federal Employment Agency, for example, will pay the costs.
